Inès Amar holds a dual master’s degree in French law and common law from the University of Paris X – Nanterre, with a specialization in international law, notably in private international law and comparative law. She also holds a master’s degree (LL.M.) from the University of Chicago, during which she studied American family law.

Upon her return from the United States, Inès practiced both domestic and international family law. She also held a position as a Foreign Law Clerk in the chambers of Hon. Deputy Chief Justice H. Melcer, at the Supreme Court of Israel in Jerusalem, where she was able to acquire working knowledge on the Israeli judicial system and various fields of law including public law matters.

Inès is admitted to the bars of New York and Paris.

Inès began working with Libra Avocats as an intern in January 2019 and became an associate in 2020. She has developed a precise understanding of international family law, including how to juggle several simultaneous proceedings  in different jurisdictions for the same case. She is now developing her expertise in international family law, both in international divorce and child-relating proceedings. She also has acquired valuable experience in estate litigation and in particular in an international context.
